The Department offers doctoral degree programme in different functional areas as per the guidelines of University Grants Commissions mentioned in UGC (Minimum Standards & Procedure for Awards of M.Phil/PhD degrees), regulation, 2009.
Courses Offered
Management, Engineering & Technology, International Trade and Commerce, Science (Chemistry, Mathematics) and Business Economics.
Admission Procedure Candidates desiring to pursue doctoral degree (PhD) are required to obtain the prospectus from the University and apply in the prescribed format attached therein along with a photocopy of qualifying exam
Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for a Raffles University Research Eligibility Test (RU-RET) organized by the University followed by a Personal interview with a panel constituted for the purpose, wherein the candidate is expected to specify his/her research interest area.
Candidates having passed UGC NET (JRF)/CSIR NET (LS)/SLET/GATE or having done M.Phill are exempt from RU-RET.
Admission will be granted on the basis of performance in the written test, qualifying examination marks and personal interview.
Eligibility Criteria Candidates should have a pass in post graduation or equivalent exam in from a recognized and reputed board or university with at least 55% marks in aggregate at the PG level for general/OBC candidates and 50% marks in aggregate for reserved category (SC/ST/PH candidates)
Duration of the Programme The Entire PhD programme has a minimum duration of 2 ½ years, divided as mentioned below:
UGC prescribed course work 6 months (1st Semester)
Minimum Doctoral degree research work 2 years
